We are delighted to share with you this year's Christmas card from The Glasgow School of Art. Drawing on a 1959 design by renowned Scottish designer, artist, tutor, and GSA alumnus Robert Stewart (1924–1995), the 2025 card reinterprets a remarkable piece of our creative history. Stewart’s original illustration—Father Christmas travelling by helicopter—was created for a festive Austin Reed campaign that featured across the London Underground and was considered an adventurous, modern statement for its time. The digital animation accompanying this year's card was created by d8, a Glasgow-based creative agency. The accompanying audio and Foley soundtrack were composed by Jack Lev Braun, a recent graduate of SIT's MDes Sound for the Moving Image, who crafted a soundscape that extends and reimagines the atmosphere of Stewart’s modern vision of Christmas.
