The two Undergraduate programmes at Innovation School – BDes/MDes Design for Health and Wellbeing, and BDes/MEDes Product Design – provide a unique and holistic overview of design’s role in future society. We equip students with a diverse skill set and understanding of design’s evolving role as a creative, strategic and collaborative practice to design future ways of living. Design for Health and Wellbeing is a pioneering programme with a future-focused perspective on the role of design in shaping individual, collective, societal and planetary health and wellbeing. Product Design challenges conventional perceptions of product design as a solely industrial discipline, instead focusing on understanding the relationship between people and things in order to shape our speculations for a preferable future. Students have opportunities for participating in live projects with businesses and public-sector organisations, international study and work placements. This prepares our graduates for a number of creative career possibilities to drive real-world impact.
