On 14th and 15th June 2024, GSA_SITHighlands and Islands Campus in Forres, Scotland, hosted the Summer show, anevent that promotes the connection between the Campus and the local community.
An exhibition of Projects developed by students from MDesDesign Innovation (Future Heritage, Environmental Design, Interaction Design,Circular Economy, Service Design, Citizenship and Transformation Design), BDesProduct Design, MDes Sound for the Moving Image and MSc Serious Games andVirtual Reality was displayed in the Campus buildings. The Digital Health and WellbeingInnovation Centre, Orbex, Altyre Estate or Logie Timber also displayed cuttingedge projects, and their vision of design and its relation to technology, environmentand impact in society.
Pupils from Primary and Secondary schools of the area wereinvited to participate in creative workshops about architecture, biomaterialsand natural dyes.
The event was an excellent opportunity to explores, discoverand open a conversation on the impact of design and innovation in the local contextand the global challenges we are facing.
