Irene is the Programme Leader for Product Design, a role which involves the academic management of  faculty staff, the student cohort and the programme curriculum and its delivery. She studied ceramics at GSA, graduating in 1983, and ran her own company for 12 years, producing work for exhibition and working to commission. The focus of her practice more recently has been in education, fulfilling the role of coordinator for Year 1 Design and the suite of Masters Programmes in Design Innovation, including leading the Masters in Design Innovation and Environmental Design Programme.
