On June 24th, a group of students from the Masters in Sound for the Moving Image program at Glasgow School of Art gathered at La Chunky Studios in Glasgow for a recording workshop. The day began with the group micing up a diverse selection of instruments including drums and percussion, setting the stage for a creative exploration of sound.

With microphones positioned and equipment ready, the students launched into a lively jam session all of which was multitrack recorded to Pro Tools. Students were subsequently able to take away the Pro Tools session to work on their own mixes.

The workshop allowed the students to enhance their technical skills and highlighted the group’s shared passion for sound and music.  La Chunky is one of Glasgow's premier recording studios. Over the last two decades the studio has hosted some of Scotland's most iconic artists so the students were in good hands.
