Tom Welsh - Write Buddy Cops. Even If They're Not Buddies. Or Cops.
The “buddy cop” dynamic is experiencing a mini renaissance in games, movies and TV! But… why? More importantly, HOW can you leverage an “odd couple” pairing of protagonists in your storytelling?
Tom is a game narrative writer, currently working on Nivalis – sequel to indie hit ‘Cloudpunk’. Tom is also a visiting lecturer in the School of Innovation and Technology.
Fraser Purdie - Responsive Soundtrack Design with WWise
Drawing on his long career as a sound designer and composer for film, TV and videogames, BAFTA nominated composer Fraser will take us through his latest work - a dynamic composition built in WWise. He will discuss how to compose music which adapts to the mood and gameplay and walk us through the process with a live demo.
