"A FInal Piece" by Tabitha Rodgers (BSc Immersive Systems Design, Year 1, 2023)

Digital painting is a core skill which enables students to conceptualise and communicate their ideas and is used throughout each year of study on the Immersive Systems Design programme. The Digital Painting project is one of the first our Year 1 students take part in, introducing them to the foundations of drawing,sketching and observation in both the physical and digital realm. As part of this project students also learn how to use digital tools to collect meaningful references, how to develop ideas and create concept art. At the end of the project, they submit a small portfolio of work which allows them to explore a range of visual techniques and express their own unique creative style.
