As part of the Can DO Summit held at the Glasgow Science Centre on the 20th November, the Product Design programme at GSA’s Innovation School featured two projects, ‘Future Experiences’ and ‘Collaborative Futures’, by the graduating cohort of 2018/19. The design work showcased at the event focused on future scenarios in the field of Financial Health and Precision Medicine in cancer care. Students reflected on the role of design in response to the surge in technological advances and the evolution of human agency by proposing products, services and experiences that resonate in those future contexts. The event served as a book launch for the publication Future Experiences: Precision Medicine & The Future of Cancer. The book describes the project and its unique collaboration with the University of Glasgow’s Institute of Cancer Sciences.
