In 2025 GSA School of Innovation and Technology entered into partnership with Glasgow Library of Synthesised Sound (GLOSS).
'GLOSS' is the UK's first electronic music library. It is a non-profit, artist-led & community-based organisation, providing access to electronic music gear, instruments, education, workshops, performances and more.
Students on the BDes and MDes Sound for the Moving Image have free membership of the facilities. In addition, students attend regular workshops as art of their studies and as extra-curricular activities.
GLOSS is equipped with a comprehensive range of modular and keyboard based synthesisers old and new. SIT students can access these instruments for project work in sound design, music production and even to undertake personal projects. There is no other facility like it in the UK.
