Chuan Zhao specialises in human-centred design, computational design, and ergonomic methodologies. His research spans healthcare ergonomics, wearable systems, and aircraft cabin design. Prior to joining the Glasgow School of Art, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Loughborough University, where he contributed to research in human factors and applied ergonomics.  His current research interests lie in human-centred and computational design methodologies, particularly the development and application of digital tools to enhance user experience, system performance, and inclusive design outcomes.
